S.E.O - How we optimise your website
Terms/Conditions/Explanation:
S.E.O means Search Engine Optimization. It is the process of a person/customer/client finding what they need online via a variety of keywords on a search engine, and for your website to be what they are looking for. The four main areas we look at is: 1 - five site keywords. 2 - Page descriptions. 3 - Page keywords. 4 - Image tags and complete everything in the Wix SEO plan. We then help you to submit a sitemap to the Google Search Console and register with Google My Business. You will then have to wait for Google to crawl your site and display your website within their search results. ITS NOT A QUICK PROCESS! it takes a minimum of 4 days and up to 6 months before you will start to see results. We have no power or authority to tell Google what to display within their search results, or where abouts within their search results they put your website. There are a lot of different factors that are taken into consideration, but we make sure that all your keywords, in each key area, are the best they can be for your website. At Infinity8 websites, we are extremely confident that we can get your business name on the first page if it is unique, and with the help of Google My Business. We can also work on other keywords and help them improve and tag images back to your site via a variety of online tools & strategies we use.
Please note, before we begin SEO work require 1 hour to perform an analysis of your website. This is to ensure there are no issues with your site that could effect the SEO work that you wish us to perform.
Five site keywords:
Wix allows a site owner up to 5 site keywords. We will research the best 5 site keywords to use and we will inform you before work begins, if we believe that we can create/improve your 5 keywords to a higher state of optimisation than you currently have them at.
Page Descriptions, Titles and Social Images:
Page descriptions must be very clear, precise and relevant to the page itself. We will make sure the descriptions are not too long, and that they are keyword focused. We optimize titles as per Wix recommendations and we make sure that pages have social images set up.
Page Keywords
We look at page keywords within your homepage, and subsequent pages, listed within your navigation menu and make sure that they have relevant keyword content and when Google crawls your site pages, it will scan the pages to understand the keyword content, and help to direct potential customer to your website based on a customers search engine entry.
Image Tags:
Part of our SEO work is tagging images with relevant keywords/longtail keywords. This enables Google search to show your site images as part of the search result. These images could include products, banners, logos, page backgrounds and others. We would initially tag up to, and including 50 images as part of our initial SEO package. In your Wix media manager we would find the images to be tagged. It is helpful (for both you and us) that you assign the images for each specific page into folders within the media manager, and name them for instance; 'homepage images'.
If your images are not in folders, we will tag the first 50 as part of the Standard SEO Package. If you have more than 50 images, we charge £15.00 for each further batch of 50 images. It is the responsibility of you, the customer to count the images and decide which ones you wish us to tag. It is vital your images are in folders as it may be that some of your images in the media manager are not actually on the site, and therefore do not require tagging. We at infinity8 do not know which images in the media manager are used on your site, so if there are no folders, we will simply undertake the process of tagging all of the images within the media manager.
Sitemap:
We submit a sitemap to Google for the purpose of getting Google to crawl your website. This requires registering your website to the Google Search Console, you may receive a notification once this has been done. It takes a minimum of 4 days and up to 6 months, for your website to be crawled by Google. In the early stages you should see an increase in traffic to your site, which would generally peak 6 months after a site crawl.
Standard SEO Packages:
We require 8 hours at a charge of £20.00p/h (£160.00.) to complete the site keywords, page descriptions, embedded keywords, submitting of sitemap to the Google Search Console & (up to and including tagging 50 images in folders, or tagging the first 50 images in the media manager). Further tagging of images will be charged at a rate of £20.00 per 50 images.
IMPORTANT
Please Note:
For customers that pay us a monthly retainer to manage their SEO work, we would monitor search results and manage your SEO work to ensure full optimisation. It is common place for other companies to increase their SEO work, in an attempt to increase their ranking within Google. We will always endeavour to keep the above stated SEO work maximised for your website (within the confines of the retainer charge). Extra work outside of the retainer contract will be charged at £15.00p/h.
Updating Keywords:
Frankly, updating your SEO is a constant process and the more often you perform it the higher you’re likely to rank. The reality is, keyword popularity keeps changing. The older popular keywords become extinct and new ones are generated. So, you need to go back to your older SEO work and analyse your keyword use again time after time. Also keep in mind that Google has moved away from taking into account just the number of keywords, so keyword-stuffing a bad site/page won’t get your site on the front page. As important as keywords are, nothing is more important than quality content and even crawl bots understand that now.
So, how often should you update old SEO? Optimally, once in three months is a great frequency, but if your time/budget boundaries are too tight, revisiting your keyword use once every 6 months is also a viable option.
DISCLAIMER: THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES WITH SEO WORK:
No-one including Infinity8 Websites can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google.
Beware of SEO firms that claim to guarantee rankings, allege a "special relationship" with Google, or advertise a "priority submit" to Google. There is no priority submit for Google. In fact, the way to submit a site to Google directly is by submitting a Sitemap.
Rankings are inherently unstable - rankings for a particular keyword search can vary from one moment to another, and from one computer to another, which makes guaranteeing them a tricky proposition as rankings are a poor metric for overall performance.
Making guarantees about something you cannot control carries inherent ethical problems - auto mechanics work with mass produced, predictable parts. Shipping companies, like FedEx and DHL, have turned logistics into a well-oiled machine. But search engines control rankings (not SEO firms), and therefore SEO is an inherently less predictable, less scientific service. To guarantee results would be somewhat disingenuous from the start. Which is why Infinity8 Websites offer no guarantees regarding SEO results. We do however guarantee that we will work professionally to improve your SEO work, provide evidence of what work we carry out, and keep you informed at each stage.
